Experts predictions about the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The largest democratic event in history, with one key issue remaining: how many seats will be won by whom? When this topic was posed to leading analysts at the India Today Conclave, most of them concurred that the BJP was in a good position even before the polls started. They separated the states into three groups based on the 2019 results: those where the BJP had already secured the majority of the seats and had little room to expand; those where they had secured 60–80% of the seats and were targeting more and approximately 100 seats in the east and south where they had a poor success rate but hoped to improve.

Is the BJP's ability to secure more than 300 seats the main focus of the 2024 election? AxisMyIndia's Pradeep Gupta stated that the NDA will aim to garner close to 400 seats, although he did not state that the 2024 Lok Sabha elections would be held. The BJP's G.V.L. Narasimha Rao characterized the impending election as unprecedented. He said the talk had moved from whether there will be a single-party majority or hung parliament to whether the BJP could win 325 or perhaps 350 seats. Rao estimated that the NDA will win 404 seats. Yashwant Deshmukh of CVoter maintained a cautious outlook for seats, indicating that exceeding that threshold would need unforeseen political coalitions. Likewise, political strategist Amitabh Tiwari believed that getting to the 400-seat mark was possible.

These opinions appeared to be shared by the conclave attendees. Just 10% of participants in a survey taken during the session predicted that the BJP would win less than 272 seats, which are required for a majority held by one party. A quarter of respondents felt they could win between 326 and 370 seats, 16% thought they would win between 272 and 325 seats, and almost 40% thought they could win more than 370 seats.
